got a call on my cell phone, answered it and was greeted with a recorded message about lowering my credit card interest rate.
I went ahead and pressed "1" to talk to a Live Operator, when he came on the line I expressed my discontent with receiving a call like this on my cell phone and explained that I don't have any credit cards.
He asked, "why did you press "1" then? I said so I could talk to a live person and tell them to take my number off their list.
HE hung up on me...........

They started by saying I was in good standing with my credit card through their company. Then proceeded to solicit lowering my percentage rate. I do not own a credit card.

Recorded message said something like "This is account services. There is no problem with your account at this time, but it is urgent that you call us regarding your eligibility to lower your interest rate. This is your last chance to lower your interest rate. Press 1 now to speak to a representative about lowering your interest rate. Press 2 to discontinue further calls." I pressed 2.
