Claimed to be my credit card company on a recorded message. This call was my last chance to lower my rate. I was to press 1 to talk to a rep. Previous calls with the same claim, of which there have been dozens over the past year, and which come from many numbers, including what my caller ID says is a cell phone. Occassionally there will be a prompt to touch "3" to opt out, but all that happens is that the phone goes dead. When I touch "1" and get a rep, when I express a desire to quit be bothered, they immediately hang up.

Call started out claiming that it was political survey. No political information was given, instead it asked for a credit card to book a free cruise to the bahamas.

Same old story. Getting around the "do not call" by thinly disguising as a "survey", with a time share pitch soon to follow. When will our government start enforcing its own law and shut these clowns down?!?!

from what I have found in the internet this is a fake survey in an attempt to gather credit information for a cruise company

Call begins that they want you to complete a short political survey, but this is phony. They then say you have won a free cruise but there would be fees attached to the cruise. Then it asks you to stay on the line to speak to an operator, which I did not do. They say select 9 on your keyboard to take you off the list but it doesn't happen.
