They told me my computer was broken and they'd help me fix it. The caller then proceeded to attempt to get me to download an application to let them gain access. I had an old laptop and played along to get as much information as possible. I do have the last 9:41 of this call (approx 60 min in total) on youtube in video record.
"Madam we have detected a problem with your computer, please turn on your computer." They purport to help you cure a computer virus. It is a scam to get your passwords and other personal information. They kept calling at least 5 or 6 times in rapid succession and used profanity when told to stop calling. When I didn't answer one of their repeated calls, they left a "dead air" voice mail message.
