The call was expressly offering legal representation services, asking if I or a loved one had experienced negative side-effects after using the medication Yaz or other similar products.

I have received more than 400 "lower your credit card interest rate" calls on my unlisted - Do Not Call registered cell phone. They are now calling 4 to 5 times per day. These calls have been increasing ever since the FCC has taken action against the 7 robocall spammers.
Slapping them with a fine that they do not have to pay isn't going to deter them at all. You need to go after them in CRIMINAL court for the advance fee fraud and the identity theft.

A 'consumer drug advocacy group' offering to file lawsuits against various drugs. Indicates to press numbers based on what type of drug was taken. If numbers are hit, are connected with spammers who try to get contact information (name, SS#, bank information, etc)

The message wanted me to "press 1" to connect to someone to file a claim. When I pressed 1, I asked the live operator what company she was with. Without giving a reply, I was immediately transferred to their voice mail.

Trying to get legal business

They claimed to be from Consumer Drug Protection Advocacy Group, looking for people who had suffered injury from taking a specific drug. I think the drug may have been Yaz but I couldn't catch all of the information. They called me twice, on 2 phone #s, and the 2nd time I think they mentioned legal representation.
