you answer a quick survey, then they tell you to please hold for Carnival Cruises, then they go on about a lovely vacation in the Bahamas, and its completely FREE, however, they need your credit card to pay for the taxes
The same thing happened to me. I am on the do not call list and these scumbagger scammers called my home and cell # with a political survey. How do we stop them from continuing to do this? What government agencies handle violations like this?

Unfortunatly not a violation. Political Surveys are one of teh exceptions to the Do Not Call list.

Got a call this morning (4/18) from this number. From your comments, appears to be policial scam/survey. What a waste of my minutes.

If this is your cell phone and it is an android, go to your app market and download an app named "Blacklist". This will enable you to block any number you wish to and then in the future, it will automatically ignore the call from that number.

If they called your cell phone, then it is a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, Section (b), subsection 1, paragraph A-iii. It doesn't matter if it is a political survey or not, they cannot robo-call your cell phone without the signed consent of the number holder.
The call advertised a free 2-day cruise in exchange for taking a survey
A free cruise for answering a survey.
reverse looked up and this number is reported as spam 100% of the time
