medical alert equipment scam -- attempted ID & credit card data theft -- targeting seniors
Medical Emergency Alert System needed to be delivered...paid for...shipping paid for...not at all true
Medical devices similar to those seen on TV to keep elderly from falling and to help elderly contact emergency help. The company states that our order has been placed and they need to schedule a delivery. They call every two or three days. It's a SLAM CALL
The caller claims we have ordered a "medical alert device" "of the fallen and you cannot get up type of device." "Let's see here it looks like it is recommended." He says it is prepaid and has shipped at no cost to us. He says "Press 1 to accept this offer and press 5 to decline this offer". We have never done business with him and have asked him repeatedly not to call. Number he is calling from is spoofed.
He claims we have bought a "medical alert device of the fallen and you can't get up type of advice. Let's see here it's highly recommended. It is shipping to you at no cost. Press 1 to accept this offer. Press 5 to decline this offer." Repeatedly we have asked him to cease and desist. We have never used his services and he never identifies himself. His number is spoofed. We mentioned that we are on the Do Not Call List and that we were issuing an FCC complaint.
