this email ID has tried contacting me too.. By using his name as Robert Fitz initially i got a message from the number 1(410)100-001 and then email conversations started at last he asked me the address and name on the check where he/she wants to courier the Check and then his local Movers will come and pick that up. then his Reply Comes like this. "Sounds good but just so we are on the same page you are not going to be responsible for the shipment, what that means is that once you've received the check and it clears, My movers will come pick up the furniture at your house, Also the moving fee will be included with your payment and will in no way affect your asking price plus the $30 bonus, I promise and I can assure you the payment will be sorted out before any pick-up arrangements can be made. The movers will only contact you and come for the pick-up at your location after you have your payment and it goes through. Please let me know if this is acceptable to you before I go ahead and have the check mailed out, Also don't forget to delete the advert online so as to fend off other suitors." Well i can assure you he is a Big time Fraud and can play Big...Beware People... Stay Protected.

I just received a text from 873-65. It started Balon Alert:Is your furniture listed on CL still for sale. It then said to contact via email at oloyebanketoress1@gmail.com "and your price". I thought this was odd as the price was clearly stated in the ad. It ended with reply STOP 2 stop. I felt uneasy about this text so I created a new yahoo account but incorrectly used I before @ instead of 1 so it was not delivered. Glad to see the comments here before sending a message. Obviously this con is still at work. I'm not real Craigslist or text savvy but thankful to not be too naive as this jerk is out to take advantage of honest people. I still know there is more honesty out there and will continue to buy and sell online thanks to comments such as these.

I received a text message from 87365, not even a full number. They asked if I had furniture on Craigslist and to respond via email. This is the exact text :

Balon Alert:Is your furniture listed on CL still for sale.Contact me via OLOYEBANKETORESS1@GMAIL.COM and your price.
reply STOP 2 stop

This occurred in Texas.

This person also uses 401-314-2639 and 415-815-4420. James Jeremy responded to a posting I had on Craigslist. Sent strange text message directions and offered to pay full price and shipping. He couldn't give me an address he claimed since he is an oceanographer currently at sea. Also asked me to contact only using oloyebanketoress1@gmail email address. The interaction I had with this creep was no doubt an attempt at scamming me out of money. Beware of this guy/girl.

After I advertised a glass table and four chairs to sell in Craigslist for 900 $ a few days ago, I received a text message from James Jeremy that he is interested to buy them. He said that he will send me a cheque in the next couple of days and after I cash it in my own bank, he will send the movers for pickup. I received an envelope by Purolator at the entrance of my home (fallen on the ground!, not delivered to me in person). I opened the envelope and I found a cheque for 2330 $ in it. I sent him a text message wondering if there was an error in the amount of the cheque. He said that there is no error. Go ahead, cash the cheque and take 900 for yourself and the rest is the cost of moving. When I showed my surprise of 1430 $ cost of moving of a table and four chairs, he replied to me that he is an oceanographer and wants the furniture to be delivered to him somewhere on the oceans! He asked me to transfer the money to the account of the moving company via Money Gram. Both Craigslist and the RCMP have given warnings about Money Gram Transfers.

This answer plus a couple more foolish comments that he made in his correspondence left me no doubt that James Jeremy is a robber. I reported the story to the North Vancouver RCMP in person presenting to them the cheque and all the text messages. RCMP confirmed immediately that the cheque is fake and should not be deposited. RCMP is now tracking him.

Sent me a fake check in the mail which I deposited into my account unknowingly. After the funds were available they sent me weird instructions to buy prepaid cards from CVS or Kmart. I called my bank to ask if it was a fake check, which indeed it was. And then called the police.
