yep got the same call today.. this is not the first time I have had some bogus number like this call me! this is another one to watch out for (501) 507-0888 same MO. some BS about court and lawsuits and just stupid S*** along them lines...first off if your going to be served any court documents its going to be unannounced to said person, not left in a voicemail! second im pretty sure if a lawsuit is filled against you it goning to be in and or around said area/ home of record.. not from a state you have never lived in or been to ... Come on seriously ?? Last thing I'm going to say is c- at best ,cleaver and creative idea but no cigar buddy.. try again .. Douche..
Message left saying it was pretrial processing center....that i was going to be charged in court...but that i could avoid by calling the number back....they never even stated who the voice message was for...just referenced an account number. Not sure who they are or who the message is left for. Very shady. Did not sound like a collection agency as no debt was mentioned.

Just received a call that left a voice mail threating to file a lawsuit against me. Look up the company online, they are out of Baltimore, Maryland. The company is called Hogan and Weinberg, they also call themselves VIN collections in which they purchase Zombie loans.
these people called the women identified her as a fraud investigator from cook county sheriffs and that I was being charged with two counts of theft by deception for a payday loan from 2011 and that a warrant will be issued for my arrest along with my license getting suspended and that I took this loan in from a job that I worked at which is not true as I never worked where they say and I never took out any payday loan, she also stated that she knew where banking source I use and they had provided them with a certified letter proving that it was me, after the call I called the police fraud unit in my county and they told me it was a scam and I also contacted my bank and they have never sent such letter. The women that called never gave me her name, when I asked she just said I'm a sheriff detective with the fraud unit and that I could make this go away if I paid a settlement fee, which I did not. They are breaking the law by identifying them selves as sheriffs....scam, scam
this same woman just called me. i asked her name she said it was matteson. she said i had never paid back my pay day loan and my wages would be garnished. she would be contacting HR where i worked. also that they were suing me. i began asking questions such as how much the original payday loan was, what services she was from (free trial services) is what she told me. then because i was asking too many questions she began getting loud and rude. she said ok we will just go ahead and proceed since you are being rude and obnoxious then hung up on me. This is such a joke. this is the second time this has happened to me. people need to find a real job.
