I was called by 458-202-8961 and they left a message. The guy identified himself as Tom White from the IRS. He said I was in lots of trouble and about to go to jail for back taxes owed if I didn't call him. Tom lies. I don't owe any back taxes.

Autoin 1-458-202-8961 keeps calling my cell. Pushed 1 to have me put on their do not call list but they continue to call. They are blocked in my cell now but again still continue to call me. I will be getting ahold of the B.B.B now!

When there has been a person on the other end of the call, I tell them to put my on their Do Not Solicit List...still get calls. Duh!

Have been getting a few calls daily from this number for several months. I answered this morning to hear beeps on line and then dial tone. I called it back and a recording said if I had been contacted, a representative would be getting back in touch with me, or if I felt I had received this call in error I could press "1" to be placed on a do not call list. I pressed one, of course, but have no company or person name.

They called me 7 times in one day, I told them each time I was not interested, then I was told three times I was put on the do not call list. I also called the number and pushed 5 to be on the do not call list twice. What happened, again today which is the next day I get another call at 9:30 in the morning.

OK folks here's what to do..... I traced the number back to Broadvox - http://www.usphonebook.net/phone/458-202-8961. I found the number for assistance off Google for that company, spoke to a representative who said I was yet another caller today inquiring about this number & directed me to their Report Abuse link and asked I fill out a ticket complaint so their team can get working on tracking down the source using one of their numbers & put a stop to it. Have gotten called three times today in the course of two hours. But the first time I answered and said I'm not interested I heard they guy say mother f***er. I said excuse me and hung up the phone. The third time they called I asked to speak to their manager and the hung up on me.

UPDATE: They just called me for the 3rd time this morning, so I answered. I said hello, a woman answered back with hello. I replied with, "Hi, you've been calling me nonstop for 5 days now, so what exactly can I help you with?" She said she was looking for me, had my first and last name. I said "And you've found me, now remove me from your calling list immediately." The woman said she'd take me off and apologized for the inconvenience. We'll see.

This number has called me 20 times in the last 5 days. I put them on my autoreject list and it would leave a voicemail with nothing in it. I took them off autoreject and answered one time. A woman immediately began saying "Hello? Ma'am hello? Are you there? Ma'am?" so I hung up. I called the number and an automated recording picked up saying all their representatives were busy and they'd call back in the next day. They gave the option of hitting '5' to be taken off their calling list... I've done that twice now and they're still calling me. I'm considering it harrassment now. I'm one call away from answering and going off.

True, the National Do-Not-Call Registry should be enough, but apparently it is up to US to give it actual teeth. This call was from "Jordan" at Insurance.com. She had some of my info, but, when asked, I gave her bogus info about car make/model, house, employment, marital status and education. She said insurance brokers would call with quotes, and when they did I should tell them that "I filled out a form on Insurance.com" (hey wait, actually you cold-called me in violation of the NDNCR...!). Now the fun starts - when the brokers call, I'll waste as much of their time as possible, feeding them more bogus info and getting as much info about THEM as possible. Then I'll let them know about the NDNCR violation from "Jordan", how I just wasted their time because they are using an aggregating service that is breaking the law, and to expect a BBB claim against them for using this law-breaking service. Yep, it takes some time and effort, and really shouldn't have to be done, but do you REALLY want to put an end to this crap...?
