Just received a call from this number about my "tax filings". Said if I don't call back in "24 working hours" the "local cops" will come and "take me into custody." Robocall's grammar was terrible.

yes I rec'd several calls, returned the call and asked exactly what they are calling about. I commented I believed this is a scam call and that I'm reporting them.

I work for the federal government and the IRS building is adjacent to my building (separated by a fence and guards). I will assure you that my agency nor the IRS contacts individuals this way - we do everything in writing. We have to. I also got this bogus call from the "IRS" and blocked it. If anything, call the IRS call center and you'll be on hold forever. They don't make outgoing calls. It's tax season for crying out loud.

Called# back, they answered it's. Told person to lose my # that they were not the IRS. Have had several calls from different #'s saying that were from IRS. I added to reject call list. All foreigners. I also called attorney general's to report 2 numbers.

Scam call out of Texas, posing as IRS, if you get a call like this so not respond. The IRS would not make a call like this under any circumstances it is to bad these people can't get aressted and put an end to such illegal meathods to steal money from hard working people.

They called twice and left one voicemail. Robocall saying the IRS is threatening to sue me unless I call back and give them information. I deleted the voicemail and blocked the number. If you have any questions about your taxes, contact the IRS directly (their contact information can be found at irs.gov).

This is an IRS scam# attempting to obtain bank account and personal information for fraud. If you receive a telephone call telling you the IRS was filing a case against you and prompting you to call this #, DO NOT CALL THIS #, it is a scam!
