They called me to offer an extension on my car's guaranty. They were very pushy telling me that it was my last day to take advantage of the offer, they wouldn't want to send me any information by mail and I had to pay 300 dollars in advance for them to send me the contract by mail and said I would have 30 days to review the documents and that I could cancel during that time and get a refund. I got very suspicious and told them they would have to identify themselves first. They told me that the call was being recorded, that federal law protected me, blah, blah, blah. They assured me that phone transactions were the most secured of all. They even asked me why I didn't want to do it on the phone. I was telling them I didn't know who they were, if anything they had told me was true when they hung on me. I checked the number online and discovered it was a scam number. I tried to call back the number and it sounded as disconnected. They are definitely scammers but they were good and sounded legit. I talked to three people in total. The first was a grandma very sweet, them a pushy woman who spoke very fast who transferred me to another woman who supposedly check if my car was eligible and talked to me for a short time and transferred me back to the pushy lady. Don't fall for this scam.
