Took this call, rep said they were from Wells Fargo home mortgage. Talked about a HARP refi, they are our mortgage company. Checked the number that was given to us online, saw some of these reviews and wanted to double check myself. We called the direct Wells Fargo line, asked an employee to look up the rep we got the call from. He was in fact legitimate and a Wells Fargo mortgage employee. This number is legitimately Wells Fargo. They have your info because you must have an account with them. No scammer here.

Received call from the number and they said they were with Wells Fargo and wanted to do a mortgage review. I googled the number and saw numerous fraud attempt complaints. Called Wells Fargo and was told that this is not their number.

This is phishing! They'll have details about your principal, monthly payments, address (which turns out to be publicly available) and then ask for last 4 SSN and zip. If you call back, they even have official sounding automated recording. However, I confirmed by calling the real Wells Fargo that this is not a legit number and possibly a competitor.

A Blake Willis call and left a voice mail about a mortgage loan from Wells Fargo. When I called the number back and ask to speak to him I was put on hold for a long time and then the phone hung up.

Merodes Gusman called after I attempted to inquire information for a refy through Lending Tree. They keep spamming me. I just wanted to see what interest rate I could get for what term. I seek to change from Wells Fargo Mortgage to a different lender. Wells Fargo is dangerous for us older, less fortunate folks. I made all my payments correct and on time, never late. Since November 01, 2015, however, they started to place the payments in “unapplied” which is a violation of law. Then it took me 9 days to fight with them until they corrected it. March 01, 2016, the same occurred. “It’s a minor glitch,” I was told. To date, this minor glitch is not corrected. All I get with all my calls and faxes that proof proper payment: “we need more time to investigate!” Tired of this, I filed a 25 page complaint with the CFPB in September 2016, with proof of proper payment. CFPB which is supposedly a consumer protection agency claimed:”we do not assist individuals!” To date they have done nothing, however, Wells Fargo “thumbed the nose” at applicable laws and me. The November 01, 2016 payment anew was place into “unapplied.” This appears to be a computer programmed continuation that targets me to defraud me of my home later through unduly owed penalties and late fees! Since I was able to verify the continued date and time through my internet account, November 29, 2016, they blocked the access to my Internet account, and still to date! They hoped that I would not be able to make payments on time and again cash undue moneys. I made again on time payment through postal money orders with certificate of mailing“ and “paid under protest.”

Lending tree did not provide the information I thought. Instead they claimed that the sole company interested in a refy, was Wells Fargo! It is my believe that Wells Fargo gets this through paying Lending Tree. In addition, their e-mail did false advertising! I receive none of the promised information. By the way, I do not provide my SNN. My research into the Social Security act states clearly, that the this number is NOT to be used for identifier. When I verified with the SSN office, I was told that not even One digit is permitted to be used for that purpose. We, the consumers, do have a right to decline said inquiries.

this is a legit wells fargo phone number however I'm unable to determine the department- a customer called my extension and gave me this number. It's more than likely tied to a sales team if you have a high rate on your mortgage we offer refinances in situations like that.

Female was pushing for information. They said they needed to verify my information for my home. I told them what ever they have must be right because I know I keep up with everything. They were very pushy for my information. I called my bank and they said it is fraud! Don't give them any information! I called back the fraud number and it did say Wells Fargo. The lady was pushy for information again. The real Wells Fargo fraud department is on it!!
