A man with a thick East Indian accent called and told me he was calling about my windows operating system. He wanted access to my computer. I declined his offer. On his end of the phone it sounded as if he was in some empty building and the phone line was crackly. Please steer clear of this obvious scam.

Caller said they were from Microsoft and that there were errors on my computer. They offered to help me fix them. That's a lie.

They are claiming to be Windows support. I told him if he believes in an afterlife, I hope his burns.

This number shows up on my caller ID as +480-816-4281. The "plus" sign tells me it isn't from the USA. No message left, but they call ALL THE TIME. I use Linus, so why these bozo's persist is anyone's guess. They call on our cell phones and home phone. We just don't answer any of our phones unless it shows our accepted numbers. If it's really something important, then the caller can leave a message. It's a pretty sorry era when one cannot even answer their phones without being buried with unwanted callers.
