Got a call (recording) from this number, saying there was fraudulent activity with my name and SS# and that I would be going to jail. And, after I receive the papers there is nothing I can do. I received a similar call from another number last week and they left a message saying the same thing.
Call them back and scream or use an airhorn can they take you off of the list for days after that! Worked great for me.
I got the exact same message from a lady named something like Therese, threatening to serve me at my home or work. I never tried calling it back after I saw the comments from previous users saying it's a scam. Plus it sounds ridiculous... saying I will have forfeited my rights if I don't call them before I get served. I have been called twice. I am blocking the number but I expect that they will just use another number to call from. I will just choose to ignore it.
I received a call saying I was going to receive a summons but they needed my current information and I hung up. They had a previous name, address I'd never lived at, bank name for an account I closed years ago, email that no longer existed at the time they say the loan was taken out. She stated it was fraudulent activity involving my SS number but I was responsible for payment and they were just a mediator. I know I didn't take out any loans in 2012 or the last 3 years. When I said if you know it's fraudulent why would you issue me a summons? She said I'd have to appear before a judge to prI've it was fraudulent. Very sketchy. I hung up. It was a woman saying they represented Access Processing payday loan.
Second week they have called. Last week they called from a Utah number. Threatened to send summons to work or home. Also called back, never got a person, was put on hold for a long time. They say their business hours are EST but calling from different time zones.
