I got an automated voice message that started in the middle saying "we have tried to notify you in previous six months regarding this issue", and that the US government has determined that I committed an unspecified fraud. It then instructed me to call the number back to resolve the issue. Definitely a scam. Besides the fact that I have not committed any kind of fraud, "in previous six months" is incorrect grammar, and no government organization just refers to itself as the "US government".
