The first time the call came through the caller ID said it was Wells Fargo. I thought that was unusual because on the rare time I've had WF call me it was from an 800 number (these days I get emails from them, not phone calls).

The caller identified herself as being with Wells Fargo Credit Card Services, she knew my name & informed me that I was late paying my credit card & wanted me to make a payment or work out a payment plan. I told her that she was incorrect & that my card was current. She then tried to get me to commit to a monthly payment plan & I told her that my card is current & I pay my card online when it's due & that I would not prepay it over the phone. She then informed me that the calls would just keep coming & if I wanted them to stop I would have to commit to a payment plan. I hung up & went online to double check my accounts to make sure there were no problems. Everything looks as it should so I started researching this number. Most of what I have found is that it is some type of scam to get credit card & bank account numbers.

I'm continuing to get calls from this number but I am not answering. They ring until the VM picks up & then don't leave a message.

I work for Wells Fargo in their main phone bank in NC. Although I work for WF, I don't have one of their CC. I called back & they answer exactly as we do! 1) Wells Fargo would not make a call like this 2) we would send you an email/text (but you have to be careful of those too). Check then phone number on the back of your debit card, statement or look on www.wellsfargo.com to be safe. If you have compromised your cc or debit card, call us IMMEDIATELY (we are open 24/7) and we can block the card & send out one to arrive in 5-7 days. We even have a service that you can get a temporary debit card instantly through a branch until your new one comes in! BE SAFE!! (fyi..told the person I was talking to that I work for WF in phone support and they are being reported to the authorities.)

Called early as hell

This IS Wells Fargo, I somehow didn't make my credit card payment, they waited 6 days to call me. Why they don't leave a message is silly. I called back and made my payment.

States with credit card collections department of Wells Fargo out of Salt Lake call center - when stated I had looked them up and over 65+ complaints and Wells Fargo claimed to have no association with this number he stammered and said he was confused why hey would say that as they are indeed Wells Fargo - funny - if calling to collect on a credit card debt would they not speak when the call is answered and would they not have record of the person they are trying to reach instead of instantly agreeing to never call again (let's see if that is true).. so tired of the silent calls

On the last month I have received 41 calls from this number. I am beyond aggrivated. They fill my voice mail box with blank messages every day... almost makes me want to get rid of my phone just to get some peace.

They have called 9 times in the last 3 days, i have it set to block. It is definitely spam, not a real Wells Fargo person. So annoying

Separately called Wells Fargo Card services and they confirmed that they have no such number and view this to be a phishing scam. DO NOT give them any information

I received 1 to 3 calls per day for several weeks. I have never answered the calls, nor have I called back. I do indeed bank with Wells Fargo. Spoke to the branch, the bank confirmed this is NOT a Wells Fargo number, and that I should report it. Not legit! Not a bank!

They called me 3 times today home and cell but no message!!

Thank for reporting this as spam. When they called me, I accused her of being the secretary my husband is cheating with... I don't have a husband but it was fun having her try to convince me that she was not a cheater. Good times.

These people call at least 2 times a day. I have blocked their number. Have tried to call back and no one answers. Finally got through and first question they asked was for my credit card number. I don't have a credit card with Wells Fargo. Never asked my name, just wanted my number. Told them, I am on a do not call list and will report their harassment.

This number would call several times a day at my workplace and hang up. On the caller ID, it would show 623-040836. A couple times before I saw that it said Wells Fargo and it actually is not. Do not call number back 503-207-2810.
