caller stated that there have been a rash of burglaries reported by police in my neighborhood and for my own safety and security I should push the "1" button right away to speak to a representative regarding a FREE home security system.

I rec'd a call asking if I wanted a home security system and it included a sign on my front lawn. I told them I already had one with a police office living next door. I've called the number back, and it stated it was a media company -and if I didn't want to be on their calling list, just enter a '1' which I did. I've rec'd 3 calls within the last 2 days.

I did not answer the call.However when I called the number back it was a busy tone, then on the second attempt I got a recorded message. "Thank you for calling back. If you are not interested in receiving future calls regarding our special promotions and would like to be placed on a do not call list please press one. Please allow up to 72 hours to have your number removed from our preferred marketing list. Thank you, and have a nice day." I did a search on this number using google and it looks like many people are having the same issue I am.
