Called today. "This is Joel calling on a recorded line. I see you applied for a job on our companies website." Asked who they were again and repeated exactly as before as if it is a recording made to sound real. Most likely a phishing attempt. Dead give away is "our company" versus an actual name. Would say not to give any information but most likely if you are smart enough to check here you are smart enough not to tell them anything.

I don't bother answering calls from unfamiliar numbers, but I have been job searching on the internet lately. When I called the number back, It doesn't even ring.

Just spoke with someone who called me from this number. They garble through who they are, then immediately start asking for personal information. When I asked them to tell me who they are and what job they are calling about, they pause and don';t answer the question. I tried 3 times. Total scam. Tell them NOTHING.

No attempt to find out information at first but clearly looking for information.
