They said they could lower the interest rate on my credit cards and when I asked what card it was for they hung up. Every time I've tried to tell them not to call me they've hung up before I could.

They identify themselves and claimed I was carefully selected for a political poll and that I'd been given a Caribbean Cruise thanks to a private donor. I had to agree to continue, which I did not. More details of the scam are on various web sites, but basically they disguise themselves as a political organization to get around the DNC list and run a scam to sucker people to pay for 'port fees' with their credit cards.

How to I escalate this? How can I find out if they will be fined for violating the DNC?

The call offered a "Free" trip to the Bahamas ("duties and charges apply" or something) in exchange for answering a survey. This has to be the scammiest scam I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. Even as you sit here reading this, they are calling random people and stealing some poor old lady's identity and bank account details.

Hopefully when you guys go to prosecute them for cold-calling people's cell phones on the Do-Not-Call registry, evidence will surface exposing their other crimes and they end up rotting in jail. If I can be of any more help, please let me know.
