It was a criminally fraudulent credit scam call. They said "there is no problem with your credit card" (they are not my credit card company) "but it is urgent you talk to us about lowering your credit card rate to 6.8%...". So they did not provide their company name, they imply they are my credit card company, they feed me a line intended to lure me into providing personal information (I presume for identify theft), and hung up on me as soon as it was clear I wasn't going to give them personal information. So likely scum of the earth identify theft parasites I'm sure you're going to do nothing about (I don't know if it's you don't have the ability or the motivation to shut these guys down, but it's pretty pathetic that you guys are so helpless to stop these people who prey on the naive and trusting - e.g. making American's more cynical because you can't even slow down the bad guys).
