The woman told me that I might qualify for a lower interest rate on my credit cards. I asked her which card and she said they work with visa and mastercard. She asked me how much I owe on credit cards, I told her that I'm not comfortable giving out this information. She states," I can't find out if you qualify until I know the amount you owe." I told her that I'm not interested, take my name off her call list, but I noticed that the call was disconnected then. I googled this name and it comes up as a phone company, but also I found an article that says this is a scam that tries to get people's credit card info, which is what I was afraid of. I did not give out any info, but I'm sure they're calling alot of people and they might scam others.
Recorded message that my credit card account was in good standing. Press 3 to obtain a lower rate. After pressing 3 a live telemarketer asked me if I had more than $3000 in credit card debt. I asked her which credit card account was "in good standing". She immediately hung up.
caller ID V04201111020085 +out of state area code 503.Pre-recorded message identified them as "Cardholder Services," the last chance to lower interest rates on my credit card. AGAIN. Press 3 to register number "do not call" list. Some weeks I've received 5-7 phone calls. When I press 1 to speak to a live person, I ask which credit card, why do I need to lower my interest rate since I never pay interest or late fees because I don't carry a balance over. They don't know which card, or the name of the financial institution. They say it's random, but once 2 weeks ago the woman asked if I had a good credit rating & mentioned Experian. Please, the FCC must act now to stop these solicitous phone calls. It's also exploiting the consumer when phone co's charge to block these calls. This phone number has been registered with National Do-Not-Call-Registry several years. We don't give any entity permission to contact us about any credit card. These calls harass & exploit consumers.
