Same thing. Except when I answered there was no voice on the line just silent. I called back and the recording said "fundraising center, no one is available to take your call"

I don't want to be called by these people - veterans fundraising! I'm on the do not call list. why is this happening?
Unfortunately, you have to answer the call and jump through a few hoops to have the DNC do any good. That is why it is not very effective. If you follow DNC procedure it would work. It's not perfect but the honest vendors will not call. Also, because this was put in place by politicians, charities and political calls are not blocked.
