Scam, the IRS does not make calls looking for money. They will send a letter first. They have put a lien against me. Other than IRS they left no mssg. You could also tell that the phone mssg. was spliced together, the wording was not quite correct.
"This is the Internal Revenue Service calling to inform you we have filed a lawsuit against you you must call immediately." This threat was to scare me into calling them with my credit card information to avoid the lawsuit.
I know this is bogus, but the next person may not.
These scammers have an unlimited number of "burner" numbers apparently. I get at least 1 call a day from these scammers, it's a recording saying "this is an officer with the IRS & this is your final notice to let you know we have filed a lawsuit against you & you must call us back immediately!" LOL!! The IRS sends out notices in the mail you must sign for if you are delinquent on taxes. This is an old scam to get you to call & give them your SS #, bank account #, etc. If you don't recognize the call, DO NOT answer, & definitely DO NOT call them back, just block it. Tomorrow they will call you from a different number with the same recording. This one came form Le Sueur, MN.
Another IRS Call ... unbelievable !! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM ! The IRS would never leave you a voice mail with pending litigation ( if there were any ! )
Call from "IRS" Seems they have moved to N. Minnesota.
