If I happen to be playing music at the time of call I will put phone next to one of the speakers and "turn it up" lol I'm retired law enforcement so I like to play with their heads and will sometime's answer the phone saying FBI Fraud Unit this is Agent (insert any made up last name here). and advise them that according to Federal Statute number (make a number up) I'm required to notify them that the call is being recorded as evidence in the world court. If they haven't hug up yet start grilling them, ie: caller's name, the real number before rerouting, company name, supervisor's name and any other thing I can think of before they really do panic. I also advise them that we are tracing the call's point of origin and just basicaly have a fun time with them. For some reason they never want to call me back again. Hmm Wonder why. The more defensive they get - the more adament you get. If they start cussing and threatening you laugh at them and yell out something like " Hey Fred have they been on the line long enough? Do you have all you need?" The most important thing is just have fun at their expense, it lowers your blood pressure and you get a good laugh and a story to tell your friends in the end. Good Luck Oh by the way no real law enforcement or legal entity will serve papers or tell you they are coming to arrest you over the phone., we don't want you to know we are coming! lol

Got a phone call (12:20pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)
They, of course, left no message.
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

I'm going to
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
AND to
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.) [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]
I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number. (I am up to 57 now.)
We should all pile on.
