On August 26, 2015 I received a call from this number advising me that the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me. This is a SCAM! It is the same routine reported by an earlier member today. Being a lawyer with lots of IRS experience, I can definitely advise anybody who gets a call like this that it is a scam to mine personal data, like social security numbers, telephone numbers, names, addresses, and other data to exploit, doubless for identity theft purposes. Don't call this number back. Block it.
I received a call today (8-26-2015) from someone claiming to be from the IRS. The computer generated voice said there has been a lawsuit filed against me (they didn't say my name) and for me to call 509-228-7185. When I called back I did as instructed on the IRS website and first asked for the employee's name, badge number, and call back number. The person on the other end wouldn't tell me, they just kept asking who is this, and what are you calling about... they seem to have a heavy Middle-eastern accent. They wouldn't give me any of the above info so I said I was investigating an IRS scam (which I was), and asked them again for their name and badge number. The person on the other line said "go F... yourself," so right then I ended the call. I'm sure no one at the IRS uses language like that.
Called saying they were the IRS with a lawsuit against me.
