IRS Scam - do not return their call!!! The IRS has publicly said that they will NEVER call you...
scam caller
Trying to rip people off. Get a rope.
These people are Scam artists! They call to get your information so they can drain your bank accounts with phony charges. Do not give them anything, best to do is not answer as they will continue to call because they get a live person. Most phones today have a good call blocker on them under your settings. I’d advise you to use it. Since there are many types I cannot elaborate on how to set it up. Anyway, if you have an older phone you also can get a decent call blocker for your phone from your associated store. (ITUNES or PLAYSTORE on android) I have found that the best way to get over on these low life morons is to ignore them. They hate that the most. Forget trying to get even by yelling at them, reporting them or writing letters, it will do you no good and are a waste of your time. If it was that easy to get them to go away there would be no boards like this, and no collection agencies or scam artists….prosecution alludes them and so there are thousands of them in operation today, in fact a new one starts every two seconds. Like I said the best thing to do is tell your elderly parents, or family members to not answer the calls or block them. Eventually they will go away.
I checked in the phone number its comes back to Othello WA in the US. but that means nothing as its easy today to spoof a phone number. Cross reference on this number brings up a plethora of bogus spoofed numbered that once tried produced no answer or disconnected services. I have heard people have gotten calls from the FBI, NRA as well as the government for Educational funding. None of these are REAL. Phone spoofing is so common today even the 12 year old up the street can handle it.
So remember don’t answer any number you don’t know. It’s a good rule of thumb. If it’s that important, the person on the other end will leave you a voicemail…….
I just got a call from them from a Jason Grace. He said he was with the United States Grant Department. He would not give me a direct phone number but said I needed to call with my application ID number. I told him to mail me this approval but he would not. I wouldn't verify any info. SCAM!!!!!!
