I'm sure it was a telemarketer. They hung up when I answered with the company name.

I have a Samsung phone, and cannot block tel #'s. If I get a call from an area code or # that I am not familiar with, I do not answer. At the end of the day I look the #'s up to find telemarketers. I then save the #in my phone under "SALES". So when SALES pops up again I know not to answer. I now have 25 SALES #'s. ( I sill get angry, but not as bad as I once did.

Hello Seniors scam.

Picked up. 15 seconds, no one. disconnected. I get lots of "HELLLOOOO SENIORS" calls and only half ever go thru.

My cell plan doesn't provide for call blocking. I get way more robo- and other scammy calls than legitimate calls because I'm very selective about giving out my number. Somehow, somewhere along the line, I suspect that my health insurance or other health care provider has sold my phone number to these "senior citizen alert" companies which claim I've been referred "by a friend or family member". Really? When I occasionally push 1 to speak to a person, they have the nerve to put ME on hold! When I ask which friend or family member referred me, they hang up on me. BUT THEY KEEP CALLING.

Hello Seniors! Scam caller trying to rip you off. I always hit '1' and get connected to somebody getting paid way too little to try to scam me. They invariably hang up, but at least I tied up their lines and their time, much like they did to me.

Scumbags call from different numbers SILENCE and sometimes medical alert scams. If I ever find these people, I cut them up in little pieces and feed them to stray dogs.

@ 2:45 PM CST on my cell phone which his and has been on the Do Not Call list since the DNC was available.

Ooo...iPhone 6 has a call block feature. I've never had a phone that doesn't, so what's the deal?

I block these numbers whenever they call. I have a fairly extensive blocked list now and yes, they do call from another number. However, the call block really slows the calls down.

Jimmy, I have an iPhone 6 too and I will use the call block feature, but I'm told they simply call from another number next time.

this is not an ad for Apple its a fact. my last phone the Samsung 2 did not have this feature.
you can bet they will try to call back from the same number.
Now i will not be hearing from them again.
they will try from another number and i will block that as well.
I will no longer pick up the phone unless it is a caller from my contact list.
I used to get so frustrated by this Phishing callers. I even added call blocker to my cell number.
I also spoke and filed a complaint with the FCC. They are very much aware of this issue. They offered a 50,000 reward if someone could come up with an APP or program to limit these disturdbences in 2014.
The best thing i have found after being so pissed at these people and after reading other peoples ideas is to simply dont answer the phone then block the number.

If it was important they would have left a message. If it was a family member or someone calling with a real emergency they would have left a message. Now that the call is blocked they will have to call from another line.

Phishers and scammers don't bother calling me any more. Thank you.
