I was called asking if I wanted home remodeling services. When I said we didn't need it, they said they do solar panel installation. I gave them a $1000 deposit so that I can receive $10000 off of the solar panels. I hope it isnt a scam!

OMG, surely you're joking !!!! Never, never give money, especially so much, to unsolicited calls.
Called asking if I was the homeowner and said they were with the Homeowner Improvement something or other. Said I wasn't interested.
