This is a scam. IRS will not threaten you or file a lawsuit. Sucks that these guys get away with this. Most of these people are out of country and can not be tracked. Just don't give any further information...

I rcvd. a call 15 minutes ago /no phone number on my caller id/
unknown caller/...sounds serious..this ass hole has a deep convincing voice//this has to be a fraud I call!!!!

I received an automated voice message this morning saying that the IRS has been trying to reach me (which they haven't) and that a lawsuit has been filed against me. I know this is a scam but wonder if I should return the call in order to have more information with which to prosecute or at least investigate these criminals.

I got a scam from a officer Frank Smith from IRS this person has all my information. House address truck tag# my property andchas threatened. To confiscate all my assists. His number is 510-931-7877 and then call 2was a. Officer Daniel. West. From IRS. Bage # IRM 72062 has all my imformation was real scary to be threatened.by this guy. .. he has threanted to arrest me and take me to jail he has all my information. He read my address and social Secretary. My propertys my life i feel that im being followed by this person ..

Caller: says he is Officer Daniel west IRM# 72062 phone 510-931-7877 and a Frank Smith same number 510-931-7877and will be confiscating all my property and throw me in jail

Phone call (caller ID "unknown"). Left message "This is the IRS & we R filing a lawsuit against U so call 510-931-7877 immediately to settle this". Called & a Steve Scott answered claiming to be an IRS agent. Asked 4 his badge # & given IRM526008 (agents give their ID# initially, U don't have to ask 4 it & no letters just #'s). Asked where located so I can come down & settle this matter. "In Arizona". I asked "How is it that U R in Arizona when 510 is in Hayward,California ?". Steve Scott hung-up.
