They said they were from Microsoft Windows Company and had identified large amounts of malicious viruses had been downloaded on my computer through international routing. The man said his name was Kevin Watson from Microsoft and he asked me to switch on my computer so he could have access to it and show me were the malicious files were.

Also had this number calling, asking me to go on a date with him. When asked his name, he said Jim Foster, and stated my friend had given my name and number. Hung up on them.

I was not here when the calls came in (3 calls on 3 consecutive days). I looked on line and these people are apparently calling to scam people out of personal information in both the US and in Canada. They are asking people to

They are asking people to turn on their computers, go to www.logmein123.com, input a 5 digit code they provide.

They are apparently telling people that they have heard about people in the area that are experiencing slow computer and they will help you to fix your computer for free.

They say they are with Microsoft and trying to fix
my computer. They are extremely rude and will not take no for an answer. They seem to be of Indian
decent, judging by their accent. They have been calling every night now for the last week or so ... before that it was maybe every other night.
These people are beyond obnoxious and have very little regard for the people they bother.
These calls are what I would classify as "Harrasment"

Repair of problems in my software, reported to him by Microsoft. Asked if he was from Microsoft, he responded "I have a contract with Microsoft."

He asked me to open Internet Explorer. I told him I used Comcast.net and GOOGLE Chrome. He said, "that's alright. Go to the search box and type in "AMMYY." He then asked me to click on "Accept."

That gave him access to my computer. He erased some things. He did not "fix" anything. He did
not explain "terms of service" which I would not have signed.

He told me to leave the computer for about 45 minutes. "When you get back, your computer will be fixed."

When I got back, the phone connection was broken. Nothing had been done. I was out $ 395.00.

I declined the call, because area code was not familiar. I am on the national do not call list, so assumed it was a telemarketer. After googling the phone# I see that it is scammers.
