Apparently this guy is at it again. Said he had a property for rent. Then said he wanted me to mail him what I could for a deposit and then he would mail me the house keys since he and his wife are working in Michigan. Said he couldn't show me the property, but my family and I could drive by. Needless to say, I'm disappointed and appalled.

This is a craigslist scammer trying to get you to send money to get the keys for a rental or house that doesn't exist or they don't own.

Another scam. A house was listed for rent on craigslist and I emailed for more information since there was no number listed. They sent me a text from 5122228221 saying they sent me an email and questionnaire. I never received an email so I called them. It was a foreign man on the line and there was a delay in response on the line, like he was overseas. He immediately started telling me that I need to secure this house by paying deposit. I told him that I wanted to see the house before I decided. He said he was overseas so he couldn't show me the house but I could drive by. Um, no.

nigeria scam, if you sell on cglist you might get a call from 512 a.code I had 2+ people sms me from that area to buy @ double price and have it shipped. using their fake paypal emails/sent payment.
