These people or should I say machine call us daily. They call my neighbor friend too.This place is in Texas and I am in Oregon this robot call says we are not soliciting this is an important court matter.

This is a SCAM we have no court matters or collections due.
I contacted the county and municipal courts here and they assured me we owe them nothing and if so we would receive a notice BY MAIL ONLY first. Then it would be a summons to appear and after that a warrant.
Bottom line if you don't pay your fines they will arrest you , not call you on a daily basis.

This Gila corp. continuously calls my home day and night. When they don't get an answer then a randy rome calls and says he is from a collection agency but will not send paperwork and I think he is a scam. I am done with this company calling me. They will not send anything to me and do not sound lagitimate. I have a bad feeling about them and I tell them not to call and they argue with me. Please make them stop.

I am intending to sue them for compensation in guideline with FTC .. what was it 10,000 dollars for each received call .. and I receive from them at least 2 calls a day for last 90 days ..

Municipal Services Bureau, a "private corporation specializing in court collections" based out of Austin, Texas.

They are a legitimate collection agency, but their robo calls are not legitimate.


It is Bureau of Municipal Services which attempt to collect the money for alleged traffic violations right or wrong!

In addition I am going to sue the State for selling private, unlisted and personal confidential information with out my authorization and consent permission.

I already received from them about 100 robocalls .. so I am counting the money!

This company appears to be a legitimate collection agency that bought a bunch of old debt. They called me about a parking ticket from 17 years ago. They made the same implied threats that other people have mentioned here: "this is a legitimate debt and could end up with a warrant for your arrest if gone unpaid". The place and time match where I lived, but I don't remember a parking ticket. They had enough info that it could be legit. Either way, it's laughable that anyone would enforce this.

Keep in mind -- I can legally send you a letter claiming that you owe me $100. These people bought a bunch of debt that other collection agencies couldn't clear and probably got it pennies on the dollar. This means that if I pay the $100, they probably make $95 profit just for clearing the debt.

Just because someone claims you owe doesn't make it so. Whether or not this is legitimate, I'm not I'm debt to this third party. If I had a debt, it would be through the original municipality that issued the ticket.

In the past 5 years, I've gone through some high government security checks for work. The only way this collection agency found me is because of the public records from these background investigations. If I was in any real trouble (warrant for my arrest), I'd not be working where I currently am.

Short answer-- it's likely not a scam. Rather, it's likely a legitimate debt from bottom-feeders that don't deserve to be paid for buying old non-enforceable debt from people who gave up and already wrote it off.

They had ;left message on our phone. Checked this number to find out what they are. They did not leave any specifics. It was just that I needed to call the 800 number. I will not call them absolutely.

I am more than certain this is a bogus outfit. Calling them back gives them credibility and there is no way I or anyone should do that. I wish there was a way we could put them on no call back list. But since we can do that no longer, I need to find a way to stop this nonsense.

They call my mom about 20 times a day. They told her that I had a Ticket in Kansas. Then my friend in Kansas sends me this letter from them that I have in 2 tickets in the City of Hardesty Oklahoma and t his "COULD" result into a warrant for my arrest. Funny thing is I wouldn't have been hard to find since I got arrested there 2006 and was in county jail in texas county,Oklahoma. 2007 they had plenty of time to find me i was in OK D.O.C. You think they would have every let me leave that stupid county without charging me with every count the could possibly hang on me? Is it a warrant or not? Okla. state law says if a trafffic ticket warrant has set on there desk for more than 3 yrs it's null and void. Just send your payment by CREDIT CARD.NO THANKS! I've called Hardesty City Hall. I always get the janitor the clerk is never there . How odd?

Scam

Same as everyone else... numerous calls day and night from this number identified as Gila Corp. The caller left a message to call 1-800-295-0851 regarding "an outstanding matter" and then gave their hours of operation. Who funds these creeps?

just got a call from this number for the first time re:may have an outstanding court matter, they do not say who they are looking for, just says to call back to 1-800-295-0851. No way will I call them back. They are located in Austin, TX. If they can't say who they are looking for, definitely will not CALL BACK!!!!! I have never been in Austin Texas. Definitely a scam.

I would like to know who they want before I answer because I get calls for my sons.I do not answer the numbers I do not know because of this.Caller just says you may have an outstanding court matter and they call at the very least 20 times a day.We have answered it and it says please stay on the line and then when we do they dont come on so we hang up.I dont like outstanding matters on me or my husband or we would like to get this resolved with the uttmost respect but you have to talk to us when you call or we arent going to set on the phone for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and answer it.We have never recieved anything for us to have an outstanding court matter.
