Claimed to lower interest rates, but if I Google the company that displayed on caller ID I cannot find them listed.

Credit Services, lowering interest rate to 6.9%

Caller purports to be able to lower my interest rate on a credit card. This telephone number, of my cell phone, is on the Do-Not-Call list. The list is not very effective as I get frequent calls on my home and cell phone lines. Is anybody even reading these comments?

they wanted to get my credit card information in order to Give me a lower rate, but they were just trying to steal my identity.

They offered to reduce credit card rates and then asked for my credit card number. I hung up on them at that point.

When I called back, I heard a message offering to reduce my credit card rates on my Bank of America Visa card. We do not have any BofA credit catds.

Didn't recognize the #. Let it go to voicemail on my cell phone. Received the following recorded message already in progress:

"...account services and we're calling in reference to your current credit card account. There's no problems currently with your account. It is urgent, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press 1 now on your phone to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rates, or press 2 to discontinue further notices. Thank you and have a great day."

It never mentioned what credit card company, or when my "eligibility" expired.

I currently do not have a credit card.

My cell phone is on the National Do Not Call list.
