Caller stated there was a warrant for my arrest by the IRS. I have received the same message several times and have erased it in the past....blocked today..calls made to my cell
I'm getting same call... BUT, THIS IS A SCAM NOT THE IRS. The IRS has no authority to issue arrest warrants. From IRS.GOV: The first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail. If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don’t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn’t the IRS calling
message: "The Internal Revenue Services is filing lawsuit against you and arrest warrant has been released on your name. To get more information about this case file and arrest warrant from federal database, please call immediately after this recording at our headquarters number that is 516-340-4999. I repeat 516-340-4999. Internal Revenue Service agent is waiting for your call back."
