SCAM: At 7:30pm, received a call from number 516-673-0621. Stated the government was awarding me $7,000 and requested my name & social security number. I had filled out online job apps & job boards. That immediately triggered junk calls to my cell. Asking for personal information, either my social or credit card number....Like that is ever going to happen. ....Posted one resume and did one online job app, and it started the next day.

THEY ARE PROMOTING GRANTS AND LOAN SERVICES FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THEY ADVISE YOU THAT YOU'VE BEEN SELECTED TO RECEIVE SEVERAL LARGE SUMS OF MONEY. THE ACCENTS SOUND FOREIGN. POSSIBLY WESTERN INDIAN. ONCE YOU REQUEST OR STATE SOMETHING THAT ISN'T IN LINE WITH THEIR SCHEME, SUCH AS "DON'T CALL ME AGAIN", THEY HANG UP/DISCONNECT THE CALL.

Called told me they had detected a "Genuine Microsoft Computer" being used on this line and that they had detected a large number of errors coming from that computer. Having heard about this scam already, I cut him off and informed him I was not going to fall for the scam and he would not be gaining access to my computer.

Number called me on May 16th and twice on May 28th. I rejected call-do not know that number. Called back from landline and recording said number not in service.
