Called to advise my husband he owed $8000 for a $2000 loan payment (plus interest) that went to collections in 2006 - 10 years ago. This loan was paid in full at the branch in 2002. Within the first 2 minutes pressured him to set up a payment plan to take care of it. When asked to provide written documentation of this so-called delinquency, we didn't hear from them again. Do not fall for this!

From what I read online these guys buy very old expired debts. I don't even have debt yet they call me... but I'm not the only one this happens to. Don't talk to them if you can avoid it :)

Caller refused to identify themselves or provide company information. Started to call me names when I offered to give them the phone number of my trustee. So I hung up

A con artist collection agency that tries to collect on very old debts that the statues of limitations has long expired on. Just tell them to get stuffed, hang up and block their number. They have no legal rights in Canada to make payment demands or be so rude for debts that have expired. Know the law.
