Someone from this number called looking for my ex who I have not spoken to in over a year and haven't been together with in a much longer time. My daughter was the one who answered the phone and - he said his name was Darryl - was quite belligerent and kept asking her questions like - how do you know him (my ex) and what was your relationship with him. I got on the phone and the caller was incredibly rude and when I asked why he was looking for my ex he would only tell me his name was Darryl and refused to tell me why he was looking so I refused to give him the last phone number I had. It sounded as if he was about to try to threaten me so i said goodbye and hung up.

Harassment

It's this simple, these bottom feeders buy information about an old debt that your CREDITOR has written off. You owe them nothing! they were never your creditor which is why they can't sue you and they know it.
Never talk to them for any reason and either block there calls or change your number, you can't reason with a thief. This is just an excuse for them to attempt to EXTORT money from you and is no different then any other scam out there. Maybe when enough people educate them selves, crooked company's with barely legal business models will will disappear.... until the next scam they dream up that is.

there called Aktiv Capitol, but they also just changed there name to PRA Group with another number 8669031741 because i called them and there recording informed me of this,

They are very and I told them no one here by that name she started laughing like I was bullshiting

yes and these are old debts DO NOT TALK TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you open up with them they can alert your credit rating and then you have bad credit. I was told to send them a registered letter telling them not to call again then they stop. do not pay these debts they are void!!!! anything over 10 years they bought these old debts from other creditor so don't give them any information ignore them or send a registered letter telling them not call again

They have been harassing me for months they call from a few different numbers. They are a company that wants to offer you payment solutions on old debts. They should look up statue of limitations laws

calls 2 or 3 times a day - recording says "transfering call" but no one picks up

Very rude. They call at all hours of the day or night, and several times per day. There's nobody at this number that they're looking for, but they won't accept that.
