Have received many calls - SCAM - supposedly from IRS. I just started keeping a record of the numbers given to call back. They all basically say the same thing. It is the IRS calling. Final notice before taking filing lawsuit in a Federal court. Call us back immediately. IF you call back, say at
2:00 AM PST, it goes to voicemail that is obviously a cell phone, saying the person I am calling is not available. Someone already mentioned this - the IRS always sends a letter! They would get sued constantly if they left these type of voicemails on numbers that they have no clear idea who will be listening to the messages. A couple other numbers left to call back:
646 589-0194 & 323 697-1230.
Automated voice said "this is officer Steve Parker from the internal revenue services" (yes it used the word "services"..). Something about a "legal petition notice about a tax fraud against you." Said "before this goes to the federal claims courthouse or before you get arrested" (yes it said "courthouse"). Clumsy-sounding fraud.
said they they were the IRS they had a claim against me and I was going 2 Jail, the IRS does not call they send a letter
This caller said IRS had filed a claim against me, and would be me to court!
Said irs attorney filed tax fraud case against us
