This is one of many numbers used by a call center operated by a company called MDS. I have received multiple calls over the last few days with a variety of phone numbers. As others have said they call "on behalf of" political parties and candidates. THIS IS NOT the candidate OR the party calling you, just someone contracted by someone, probably at the state level or county level of XXX party, to solicit donations or some other support. And they will call for all candidates and parties. I've received calls for the demoncraps AND the republicants (all, are a bunch of lying, self serving, scumbags).

And of course, since they are calling for a political party, these calls are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry. Yeah, of course the oligarch rulers would exempt themselves. This should illustrate their true intentions.

If you want the calls to stop, answer the phone, (they can't hurt you) and be at least a little cordial, and tell/demand that you not be called again. Not that this will work, but I think there may be some legal requirement if you tell them to NEVER call again, they are supposed to put you on their internal don't call list. I don't have any delusions of unicorns and rainbows that this might actually stop the calls, but as I said, they can't harm you over the phone, so it's worth a shot. And if the caller on the other end gets verbally vicious (as is oft to happen with the drug addicted, alcoholic, low life, turds that man these call centers), just hang up.

If the calls don't stop, well, they were going to keep calling anyway, using different phone numbers.

ID says phone number only. Caller asks for me by name but doesn't leave a message. He doesn't seem to realize he's talking to a machine.
