This number was spoofed: stolen from homeowner, rerouted to look as if scam call is coming from it. If person being scammed does call number back, it rings into actual home. And many many angry people who were being scammed from this stolen number did call it back. It rang into the home - it became impossible for homeowner to continue using this phone number they had for 50 years. They were forced to disconnect this landline/lifeline to family and friends and healthcare and safety..Caller indicated as Guy Renfro is the homeowner VICTIM of the stolen number, not the originator of the scam call. Qwest's solution? "There is nothing we can do. You could keep the phone unplugged and just plug it in briefly to make calls".
