I just received a call from this number this afternoon at 12:30. I called it back and the line was busy, so googled the number and found this thread. After learning it was charter, who I have had my internet services with for the past three years, I attempted to call the number back and it went through. I spoke with the representative who, although very pleasant and polite, attempted twice to notify me of special offers for additional services. I informed her that was not interested in being phoned now, or in the future, about any special offers and asked if my number could be removed from their automated directory list. She confirmed my number and said she had placed it to be removed but that it could take up to 20 days for it to be completely removed from the system and apologized for any inconveniences of any future calls that may happen within that time.

Because they are contracted by charter, it is not a scam, just a third party service.

If you are receiving calls from this number for Charter srvices and are finding them annoying, it properly. Charter is a professional company and, if notified of a situation, has always handled it in that manner... professionally. It took me less time to talk with them and have the situation taken care of than it took for me to type up this note. Charters employees are always polite and are there to help you.

They called me this morning and It is a scam and not charter being that they are a 3rd party that is a seller of services for many companies and they get commission from the sales that they make. The guy argued with me and told me that I had to have cable and telephone service with charter even though i subscribed to the Best internet package that they have to offer.
