Comcast really should add more than 12 numbers we can block. Like 12 is great, but my cell phone can block unlimited numbers will the Call Control App.
Okay, wow, so the same day I left my previous report (above) I received a call from my Honda Service Supervisor and a voice mail. The number (541) 762-0561 appeared on my phone as a "Missed Call." The voice mail message, however, was my Service Supervisor telling me to call him at a totally different number. I called and had to leave another message for him. When he called back, guess what number rang my phone? "(541) 762-0561." Well, out of morbid curiosity, I answered the phone and "VOILA!" It was my Honda Service Supervisor! (Is that weird or what?) Is this number, perhaps, a "screen" that is used by various corporations to fool us into thinking, "Oh, it's safe to answer the phone because it's not that annoying company again!" ???
Just received a "Missed Call" notification from this number. One time I answered this number when it called and a woman said she was calling from "Comcast Customer Service," making a "customer satisfaction" call. She asked me if I was downloading certain types of videos from the Internet, etc. Sounded like she was going to offer me a more expensive service from them. However, I told her I was at work, that I couldn't speak to her at the moment. She wanted to know when she could call back and I gave her a time when I'm generally off work. She called repeatedly for several days, from the same number, but I really have no need to speak with customer service or buy a more expensive service from them, so I don't answer when that number rings in.
