received 6/21/16 caller said if I didn't return call I would be a criminal in a grand jury

6/21/16 I too had a call today left on my answering machine. Stated they were the US Treasury. They said I should cooperate with them as this was going to a grand jury and a few other courts. No doubt this is a scam. Had some last month too with a different style. It was written about in our local newspaper.

Same, but sounded like a goon or a goomba. Bada bing bada boom.

I agree that this is nothing but a scam because anytime the U.S. Government contacts someone they do so by letter in the mail or registered mail. I wish they would put a stop to these people that are doing this because it does sound intimidating. If I was not very wise I would probably have answered the call and thought I was in big trouble. I am sure older people fall for this kind of c**p. Caller said his name was David Gray. He left a message. Didn't ask for any person, just said that he was David Gray from the U.S Treasury and that this was their second attempt to contact us. But as I said, didn't say anyone's name and the call shows on the Caller ID as Unknown Number. I sure hope that their isn't anyone that would fall for this.

Caller said they were the IRS and I owed 4280 from 2 years ago, They did have my name and home address. Said if I did not send payment the sheriff would be at my door within 30 minutes to arrest me. Man gave his name as David Chambers, but very bad accent. Cannot believe he was USA born.
