received 1st call 8:28a.m. and again at 9:20a.m. same info as other calls. note, they said they were from IRS not THE IRS. must return call regarding tax fraud. my husband wants to call them to get info out of them and to play them as they are playing innocent people. they called on my cell phone to boot!

I received same call. Scarey message about tax fraud, attorneys, and if I did not return call all he could do is "wish me luck". Obvious scam. No honest concern would use the scare tactics used in this message to get return call. FIRST thing I did was google the number and saw how many others have been reached. NEVER fall for this tactic as the language itself is illegal even if I/you were in the wrong.

They said I had a problem with IRS and that I needed to call or my attorney needed to call on my behalf. I have a payment plan with the IRS but am up to day and there is no problems. The IRS send all correspondence through the mail.

Claimed to be from the IRS and said it was a legal action and I or my attorney should call back right away concerning fraud and evasion.

called my son and said he was guilty of tax fraud from 2009-2014 and he would be served an arrest warrant within the hour

Automated call at 8:33 am saying they were from the IRS. I couldn't understand half of what the message said because of the heavy accent. They said we needed to call ASAP and talk to the case manager.

They called me in Maine, at 8:45am, their English was terrible. Claimed to eb from the "IRS" - and I couldn't understand anything else said.

Me too, they called me in Maine at 8:45 am, they knew my name, claimed to be from the IRS, LOL. they couldn't speak English well.

Called my wife about 1pm or so California time and said she owed 5 grand for fraudulent tax claims also said they'd been monitoring her for 5 years. We have been married 10years and I've done the taxes the majority of those, yet they wanted nothing to do with me, only her! Talk about some b.S.! I called them over and over and never got a response! Talk about a SCAM!!

I received this call today too. Said it was urgent call from IRS. Said I better call back ASAP or else I would suffer consequences! Also said it was about fraud thru our business. I was called about 2:20 in the afternoon.

I too received the same call, twice. Once at 11:22 a,m, and 01:19 p.m) The person on the phone said that the matter concerned Jack Smith. (ha!!)

My wife is getting these same calls claiming to be from the IRS and to call Jack Smith back. Told my wife to call the actual IRS number and talk with them.
