This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to answer questions. Since you can never get to an operator, they also fail to provide a phone number and physical address when asked, further violating the TCPA. Their recording is about how you will make thousands of dollars by following their scheme, but provides no information about the product or service you are selling. This is clearly a pyramid scheme. Do not provide this scammer any personal or financial information.
I let it ring until they quit, then later called back out of curiosity. It was an offer for work at home. I have caller ID and I have found that if I do not answering most of this kind of calls they give up on the 4th or 5th ring. If it goes to six rings, my answering machine picks it up and they do not leave a message. This plan seems to have cut down on the number of spam calls I get.
