I received two smses to verify my whatsapp number then an automated call from a South African number with the verification code then an international (call from Florida) which i didnt pick up.

I also just got several text messages with a link to click to complete the verification, then got back to back calls with auto voice instructions with verification codes. This was all around 3am on my cell phone! I'm blocking both numbers but I'm sure they will keep calling using other numbers! ugh!

I got a text message first with a link to click to complete the verification - I should have copied it down to report, but I just deleted it. Just a few minutes later I got the call with the automated instructions on the verification code. Looks like phishing to me.

they called me while i was in class and the phone was on silent mode then i saw a missed call when i went out of class. this number left me a voice mail saying a verification code.

keeps calling with verification code that was not requested. contacting WhatsApp does not solve the problem (they ignore emails requesting calls to cease)
