I have received multiple calls from this number. The caller claims to be from Atlantic Magazine, and wants a credit card number to pay for a subscription renewal.

However, we renewed out subscription by mail with a check, which cleared the bank over a month ago.

I have told the caller repeatedly that we paid by check, but she keeps calling back almost daily. Her inability to access payment records and her refusal to accept that the subscription has already been paid for make me wonder if she's really from the magazine at all, or is calling from some fly-by-night subscription service or is just a scammer.
