I just received a threatening phone call, the man warned me that to avoid prosecution that I needed to call back. I did a reverse phone number lookup and saw these complaints. THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP TO THIS DANGEROUS SCAM. I will not be calling them back

The person that called said this the Us department of treasure his name is Dave Bear and he said to call back or I would begin big trouble. I didn't call them back because this is the second time. The first time they called my cell phone with a different number and wanted me to give him my lawyers name. This time they called my house phone and left a message.

These bastards just now and were able to provide me with my own name and verified my name and home address. What really got me was that they asked if I had received the letter they sent. I said "no", and they apologized for wasting my time and said they would resend the letter for overnight delivery. They would then follow-up with me with another call and that I would receive the letter by tomorrow. They requested that I pay special attention to the instructions inside.
I will keep you posted (all puns intended) on what I get in the mail (if anything). I wish I could reach through the phone, pull them through the line and have a "chat" with them face-to-face. Has anyone else gotten a mailing? This seems like a new level of scam vs. just telephone stuff.

Have called them three times called department of treasury number is not linked to either IRS or the U.S. Department of Treasury. They are not taking my calls right now.

Caller: Some one identifying themselves as U. S. Department of Treasury. I called back from my home phone once and a female operator identified herself as Linda Jones Agent of the Department of Treasury badge #11885.

Yes, am on the line with them now. They are saying that they are going to arrest me and there is a warrant out for my arrest. CP503 Notice, Certified Notice sent by the IRS. They are calling regarding unpaid Taxes. Foreign accent. They are saying there was a mistake with my IRS and that our accountant filed the taxes incorrectly. They said that can suspend my drivers license, they have been notified by the judge and jury. If line gets disconnected then warrant will be issued my arrest, and officers will be at my door in 45 minues. They are saying that I will be behind bars for 6 months. I played along with them for a while. They were saying that $4500.00 is due now and that there is no payment plan. BE AWARE BIG SCAM

Same comments as all of the others, received call today 5/16/2016. It's a recording and obviously I didn't call back, but someone who is not savvy about scams and cons might take it for real.

Got a call tonight from 562 444-6097 saying, David Blair from the treasury for a criminal offense and wanted us to call them so they can help us. Yeah right, I might call to screw with them, it's a scam
