I've been getting calls (at least once a day) from "Portfolio Recovery" for almost 2 years now. I have no debt, so there should be no reason for them to call and I never answer the phone when they do. The phone number they are calling from is never the same.

The REAL Portfolio Recovery operation heads out of Virginia. I believe the calls we are receiving are from a scammer making it appear that they are calling from the actual Portfolio Recovery. There are ways of placing a call and making it look like you are from any location or company in the world. That is why all of these calls are from a different originating number; the scammer is sitting in one location but changing the way his information appears to the person he is calling.

Be careful and never give out any information to these people that can be used against you!
