I also got a call from this number this morning also claiming my computer was hacked and was sending error messages and they were going to help. I was pretty sure it was a scam, but for the fun of it decided to play along. It seemed pretty obvious they were trying to get me to open some kind of portal. When I played dumb they sent me to a "superviser" to provide more help. My first question to him was where in China he was located (they both had chinese accents) and he claimed he was in London. When I told him I knew this was a scam and asked him to explain what his angle for the scam was he said I'm not going to tell you my scam because you'll just tell other people and then hung up. Under no circumstances should you open any program under the instructions of a phone caller. You can be pretty sure they are just looking for a back door to get into your computer and hold it ransom for their "protection" services.

Caller claimed his name was "Alex Smith". He claimed my computer OS was sending error messages to his company. He kept trying to get me to reveal information.
